Being proud of where I am from, I wanted to share some nice places of my homeland with all of you guys!
This time I’m introducing you Trakai Island Castle which is located in South East of Lithuania. The castle was built back in 14th century and is one of the most visited places in Lithuania. Lots of tourists come to see this medieval beauty every year and I think everyone has to have this place on their “must see” lists! The castle was built on an island due to strategical reasons back in the past (it is the only castle built on the lake in Easter Europe!) and you can get close to it through the bridges, since the whole Trakai town in surrounded by (at least) seven lakes! Awesome, huh?
Me and my friends got a rowing boat (you can rent it almost everywhere on the lake shores) and we were just rowing around for a few hours until the sun went down. Luckily, I captured everything on my camera! 🙂
Enjoy the views!
All the photos were taken using a Canon EOS 550D camera and EF-S 18-55MM macro 0.25m/0.8ft kit lens.
Have visited Trakai already? Let me know in the comments how you liked it! 🙂
Lots of love,
